LAE

So I am enjoying the day off of work when I get a phone call this afternoon. One of the superintendents stopped by the office to pick up some items and he noticed that the place had been broke into and burglerized. So I went down there and the place is a freakin mess. I could not even walk into my office. In my office alone they took my computer printer, but not my computer, my candy bowl that I purchased myself and keep full for the guys, and they took a drawer of batteries, just took the whole drawer. They busted open all of my cabinets but they did not find the $200 cash I had in there for the Survivor pool. So far it is estimated to be $20,000 in equipment and tools that were stolen. Once everyone returns to work tomorrow I am sure that more will be reported. So I had to spend 5 hours of my Sunday down there with the SDPD. The OT will ne nice but there is one big ol mess to clean up. The black fingerprint powder is everywhere. Evwn though it is not my house I still feel violated and I do not want to go back in there. It is an awful feeling. The good thing is they think they may already have at least one in custody that was caught earlier in the day and it sounds like he had some of our computer equipment. All right, I have a headache so I am taking a book and going to take a nice hot long bubble bath....... Adios
