(my mom would probably kill me if she knew I was posting this pic. I took it on my phone and said I was only sending it to my brother :)
So I took the day off of work today to take my to her surgery apppointment, she had cateract surgery on one of her eyes. It was nice to sleep in today and not have to do much. The surgery went well, they removed the cateract and put in a new lense. Kind of weird.... She will be able to see out of that eye now but she will still need contacts/glasses for the other eye. The funny thing is that she is the youngest patient that her doctor has seen in awhile for this type of proceedure. Everyone else there looked to be in their 70's. In fact, my grandfather just had the same surgery a few months ago and he is 75. My mom had early onset mostly due to some head trama that she had in a horrific car accident when she was 17.
On another note, I just checked my myspace for the first time this week and I had a new message from someone wanting to be my friend. Well this friend is someone that I knew back in middle school and he really was not a friend but a stalker, yeah I had a stalker in junior high. It got to where the parents and school had to step in. he would leave me dead flowers and always send me stuff in class. Ugh, i felt so weird seeing something from him again. luckily we went to different high schools so after 8th grade I did not see him again. Oh it is all just so weird. When I clicked on his page his only friend is Tom the myspace founder..... Creepy.... I am so glad that current profile pic is of margaritas!
Well I need to go and wake my mom up, she has to do eye drops every hour until tonight.... Fun times!
I put some photos of the concert up on myspace. I have been trying to upload videos from my digital camera and is giving a headache because nothing is cooperating. So I am going to give up for now and try again when I have more patience :)
Here are 2 quick pics that I took with my cell phone. I have much better pics from my camera that I will post later. I am at work so I need to make this short and sweet. The concert last night was awsome. Cheaptrick came out first and played for an hour and then Heart came out and oh my gosh they were absolutly wonderful. When Anne Wilson performed "Alone" I swear I got chills. I remember my mom always playing that album when I was younger. Then after Heart played for an hour the stage was transformed and out came Journey - Steve Perry did not go on this tour but his replacement was amazing, if you closed your eyes you would have thought it was Perry. We had the best seats.. Ok, I can go on and on but I want to put up the good pics first so I guess I will start working. I need to do something to wake up though - the only bad thing about going out during the week, I am a zombie at work the next day..... Later :)
So it has been awhile. oops......
Saturday was our company picnic/party. This year we were given a treat. It was at Sea World. It had been a few years since I had been there. Our work event was scheduled from 11 - 2pm and you could enjoy the park as early as 9 Am and it closed at 11 Pm. We had a large turn out, we were set up over by the Polar Bears. I was disapointed in the food but the cake was awsome! I was one of 30 employees that got their 5 year pin with a diamond (diamond chip).
We were able to turn our tickets into yearly passes if we wanted for a little extra $$$, so I can go back again and again. Which is a good thing because it was so hot and crowded and I did not get to go on the rides that I wanted. Oh well, there is always next time. Tomorrow is *Journey**Heart**Cheaptrick* I cannot wait! Hopefully I am able to get some good pics....they never seem to come out at concerts.
